Long Point, south of Ratanui, take the Purakanui Bay road and look for the Long Point Road. Ask permission from the farmer, if you can "please cross his property", Here you will find a left-hand point breaking on a reef.

This break works best on a 4-8ft southerly ground swell, but can handle bigger. Its a steep drop takeoff, followed by sheer walls with plenty of speed, going into good cutback sections. Can get gnarly and requires respect. This is not a learners wave, we recommend only experienced surfers tackle this one.
