Beatons is a hot left-hand point break accessed through a private farmland and is located south of Orepuki settlement

Here you will find a left-hand point/reef break, which breaks best at 4-6ft southerly swell. Suitable for competent surfers. Several other point breaks can be found along this coast, porridge for instance, but require careful assessment of the power of the heavy swells and vicious rips that can occur anytime.
