Some general conditions apply to renting a Campervan in New Zealand sometimes with differences for example of the supplied equipment.
Over the high season a 14 day minimum hire applies usually, 5-7 day minimum applies for the remainder of the year.
Daily rental rates usually include:

- 24 Hour Roadside Assistance
- 12.5% GST (Tax)
- Travel Wallet including road map and travel information
- Insurance

The amount of living equipment varies from one rental company to the other. Normally included in the rental rates are crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils. Linen, sleeping bags, pillows and towels are sometimes included or available for extra costs. Additional equipment like child seats, camping gear or TV if not included is available for extra costs as well.
The customer is responsible for the first NZ$ 5,000 of the cost of damage for motorhomes, but excess Reduction Options are always available. An additional fee is sometimes asked for additional drivers, the minimum drivers age is 21 years.
One-Way Fees of NZ$150 and soiling fees of about 120NZD are common.
