Auckland New Zealand is one of the world's premier sailing destinations. It's Known as the "the city of sails". Auckland's harbour (Waitemata) is the busiest recreational harbour in New Zealand.

There are numerous islands spread over 1500 nautical miles and with 500 sheltered island anchorages. From here you can sail the remote maritime reserves in the Bay of Islands, Hauraki Gulf and Marlborough Sounds - all truly stunning locations.

February is the best time to go sailing in Auckland, with temperatures ranging from 18C to 20C. The wind is usually northerly with average speeds of between 5 to 15 knots. Some days (if you're lucky) it gets up to 25 knots!

This is the former home of the Americas Cup. It attracts some of the best sailors from all over the world. You'll also see the most amazing super yachts you've ever seen.

You can choose to join a sailing tour, experience the pure adrenaline of sailing an Americas Cup Yacht or just chill out on an evening dinner cruise on Auckland's Waitamata Harbour.
