New Zealand has fourteen National Parks and about four thousand reserves, which consist of about 59,000km², taking up almost 30% of the nations landmass. The National parks, each different in their own individual way, from the golden sandy beaches of the Tasman National Park to the stunning Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound, of the Fiordland National Park. You will find the stunning Lake Waikeremoana located in the Te Urewera National Park. Tane Mahutoa, and Te Mahutoa Ngahere are a couple of the few remaining giant Kauri trees, you will find them in the Waipoua State Forest in Northland.
